A green life

Close to nature

The apartments at “Kodra e Diellit” Residence naturally embrace the greenery of the hills. Our development philosophy walks arm in arm with the protection of natural heritage but also the enrichment of it. This makes the quality of living at “Kodra e Diellit” Residence superior, especially due to the fresh air and the serenity that are offered by the evergreen environment. We believe in the effect of continuous damage to the environment, so we fanatically preserve the future of the planet for our children.

A green orchestra

At the Residence you will find green parks where residents can enjoy precious moments with their children. Vegetation in public areas is treated day by day with love from our gardeners.

The flora is enriched with fruit trees like cherries, quinces and persimmons which signify with elegance the change of seasons, creating a warm atmosphere. Fruits grown naturally at the residence, under the special care of the farm staff are returned to the community as organic products, this way educating a healthy lifestyle.

Flaxes, fir, cypress and paulownia, are just some of the tree types that shade roads and parks. Under these trees children can play, while parents can do various physicals activities like running and yoga. Visit “The Boulevard of Magnolias” in the spring and you will be amazed by the pleasant aroma of flowers.

Violets, calendulas and winter daisies, take the place of petunias, marigolds and summer medinas, so that “Kodra e Diellit” Residence is in full bloom throughout the year. Needless to say that bushes like the famous pink roses are added to the green orchestra of “Kodra e Diellit”, in addition to hibiscus, rosemary and laurel, creepers such as honeysuckle, colorful bougainvillea and jasmine.

Passive houses

At “Kodra e Diellit”, the apartments are built according to the concept of “Passive Housing”, which is a standard of construction based on optimal energy performance. The exterior walls are double walls with polyester in the middle, formed with perforated ceramic bricks, and the exterior finish is built with a hood system and graffito plaster. This type of construction creates high thermal efficiency, and enables energy saving for heating and cooling spaces to 75% -90% more than other types of constructions. This minimises the ecological footprint, contributing to the protection of the environment.

For Birds

The century old olive trees have been carefully preserved throughout the development process of “Kodra e Diellit” Residence. This is done not only to preserve the flora but also the rich fauna of our area. Birds such as finches, thrushes, woodpeckers, swallows and goldfinches are early visitors of the hills, therefore they have been treated with superior care. Furthermore for these birds we have created ceramic nests on the facade walls of the residence. Different types of birds such as swans, ducks, geese, pigeons and peacocks, are added in the residence to live freely in the water basins created by natural water sources. Children at “Kodra e Diellit” Residence learn to coexist with animals, and take care of nature.

Recycle-Reuse-Recreate

Recycling is one of our main initiatives for nature conservation. The clay that is taken from excavations in the residence throughout the development process, is recycled to create ceramic art, which are found along facades, fountains and parks at the residence. Also the extra tiles used for laying in toilets, have been shredded to create dozens of colourful images on the facades, but also on roofs and terraces. At “Kodra e Diellit” Residence, nothing disappears or get lost, but is always recreated or transformed.
